Dear Geneva Parents,

At every Friday Chapel I am inspired by our students, and the insights they bring to their individual speeches and their class presentations. In reflecting on patience today, I find that we are inspired by the patience of others, and soured by our own failures to be patient. I've spoken of those men and women who possess powerful humility. It's good to remember that they have the same Holy Spirit that we have. They are, as Peter writes in 2 Peter 1:4(b), “…partakers of the divine nature” just as we are, if we know Christ as Savior. That gives us the power to practice humility, which gives us the power to persevere in patience. Humility is the “freshness keeper” of the fruit of the spirit. May our attitude of humility sustain our patience with each other and with the community at large.

In His Name, and for His service,

Anthony P. Wilson
Headmaster

Please note that they will be closed over the summer months, and come September they will be extremely busy with the high school admissions process. Now is the time to take advantage of their experience and expertise. You can join the Parents League at www.parentsleague.org .

And Don't Forget

Uniform Exchange. Do you have gently worn uniforms which you are willing to give away? Are you looking for uniforms for next year? The Development Committee is coordinating an exchange. If you have and/or want items, please e-mail a list of the items you have to donate and/or wish to acquire for next year (e.g., sweater, jumper, blouse, gym shorts, etc.). Please be specific about size and quantity. For boys' items, e-mail Renee Reynolds at reneepreynolds@gmail.com . For girls' items, e-mail Shirley Jenks at JenksGroup@aol.com . They will match up donations with desires, and put you in contact with one another, so you can make your own arrangements.

Graduation and End of the Year Awards Assembly will be held at the Preschool, from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M., and at the Grammar School from 10:30 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. Uniform of the day is the dress uniform. Eighth Grade Graduation is at 6:00 P.M. We expect our Geneva families to support this year's graduates by attending the Eighth Grade commencement that evening. It is a significant expression of appreciation for this important milestone in the lives of these students, and it continues to build the tradition for your own student when the time comes.

Annual Fund Is a Long Way from 100% . The clear demonstration by the community of its support for the School and its mission is as important as the money raised. We have a long way still to go. If you have not yet contributed, please take a moment to consider what gift you can make, however large or small.
