Private lesson packages include 45-minute weekly Theory & Musicianship Class or Suzuki Strings Class. Students are placed according to skill level and age. 30 weeks of instruction.

30 min Private Piano Lesson (no Theory class).
Private lesson packages are offered in cello, piano, violin, and viola. Program runs for 30 weeks during the academic year. Students have the opportunity to perform in at least four recitals, Monday Musicales at Steinway Hall, master classes, and to attend special events like faculty concerts and musical field trips designed specifically for GCM students.
Music Theory Private Lessons
For students wishing to deepen their knowledge of music theory, prepare for a theory exam, or simply work in a more intensive manner, private lessons in music theory and aural skills are available with Dr. Kyle Werner. 30 weeks of instruction.

Chamber Music Program
Chamber Music students receive a weekly 45-minute coaching, access to rehearsal space, and performance in masterclasses and recitals. Groups are assigned by placement audition.

Chamber music is open to instrumentalists who have studied a minimum of two years, demonstrate proficiency on their instrument, and who can read music. Chamber Music students need not be registered for private lessons at The Geneva Conservatory of Music in order to participate. GCM welcomes any student interested in an ensemble experience.
Chamber Music students will benefit from expert instruction in how to play their instrument in an ensemble. In addition, students will become more competent in skills such as communicating both verbally and non-verbally, group decision-making, leadership skills, and active listening.

Financial aid is awarded on the basis of demonstrated need and fund availability. Apply for financial aid via TADS. See below for instructions.
How to Apply for Financial Aid:
- Log on to TADS.
- Select “Family Login” at the top of the page
- Select the blue column “Financial Aid Assessment”
- Log onto your existing account or set up a new account if needed
- Click to access your “Financial Aid Application“
- Select New York City and New York State, and The Geneva Conservatory of Music and “Continue Application“
- Follow all the instructions and select “Continue Application”
- There is a $34 application fee
If you have an existing financial aid application for The Geneva School of Manhattan, there is no need to re-apply for The Geneva Conservatory of Music. Please call 1.800.477.8237 and request to have The Geneva Conservatory of Music added to your file.
