Our Academic Programs
The Geneva School of Manhattan is dedicated to providing the highest level of education in New York City. Through our combination of small class sizes and individual assessment, we create an intimate learning environment focused on individual student strengths and needs. A rigorous Classical curriculum provides our students with an advanced level of knowledge and ability, giving them the tools to succeed in any future environment of their choosing. Our students consistently perform well above the National Averages in the already competitive testing environment of Independent Schools, and move on to the top schools in New York City and beyond.

Physical Education and Athletics
At Geneva School, Physical Education offers a positive contribution to the development of a Christian value system as well as the esteem in which students hold themselves and others. From Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Eight, Physical Education is part of the school day.
In the Pre-School and Elementary School, focus is placed upon building motor skills, confidence, and cooperation. Communicating effectively, accepting individual differences, and working within the framework of rules are taught through cooperative games which encourage students to work with one another to achieve a common goal. The opportunities children are given in gym class allow them to build confidence in their ability to perform motor skills while developing a fundamental understanding of movement concepts.
Physical Education in the Middle School builds upon the movement principles learned in the Lower School. Activities are continued as fitness and sports skills become a focus. Fitness is presented as a positive experience in which students feel comfortable challenging themselves. After school, interscholastic team sports are offered as an opportunity to promote team work, sportsmanship, goal setting, responsibility, and respect.
