The Geneva Gala is Geneva School's largest fundraiser, making possible our generous Scholarship Fund.
“Stand Firm. Let Nothing Move You.”
During the past two years, changes of epic proportions shifted nearly every sphere of our lives. While other New York City schools moved online in the fall of 2020, our staff and faculty committed themselves to standing firm in service to our students. With full-time in-person school, students flourished academically, socially, and spiritually. Moreover, School leadership pursued the fulfillment of our academic program to high school grades, starting Ninth Grade this fall.

Corporate Matching Funds
Many organizations offer corporate matching programs on charitable gifts made by their employees, thus encouraging philanthropic endeavors of their employees. In this way, corporate matching programs allow gifts to Geneva School to have double the impact.
Appreciated Stock Donation
Donations of appreciated securities are recorded as a charitable gift at the appreciated amount. In most cases, the donor will receive a greater tax benefit than if the appreciated securities are sold and the cash is donated. Also, by donating appreciated securities you can avoid recording a capital gain in the security (assuming the investment has appreciated and that you have held the asset for more than one year). You should check with a tax professional before initiating any transfer of securities.
Donated securities can be sent to our account:
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney
Account Name: The Geneva School of Manhattan
DTC Number: 0015
Upon transfer of stock, please contact our Chief Finance Manager so we can complete the stock sale.
Legacy Giving
It is never too early to think about estate-related giving. Not only does a legacy gift reduce your taxable estate, but it ensures ongoing, planned giving that will benefit future generations of Geneva School students. The most common forms of legacy gifts include bequeathing a gift from your estate and naming Geneva School as a beneficiary of your retirement accounts and/or life insurance policies. If you are interested in making Geneva School part of your family's estate plan, please contact our Director of Development and your personal attorney to coordinate the paperwork.
Volunteer Opportunities
Many opportunities exist—both one-time and ongoing—for parents and grandparents to volunteer at Geneva School. By giving of your time and abilities, you will help our School achieve its mission while experiencing first hand what sets Geneva School apart. Volunteering is also a great way to get to know other parents, faculty, and staff while making a lasting impact on the School. If you are interested in giving your time, resources, and talents to the School, we would enjoy hearing from you. Please contact us at operations@genevaschool.net or call the School office at 212.754.9988.
